At Fault Accident???

A couple months back I had an accident with my truck. A wild burro ran out
in front of us, and I swerved to avoid it. I managed to keep the truck on
the road, but we wound up upside down on the road. The California Highway
Patrol came to investigate and write up the accident. I was not drinking,
driving excessively fast (35 on a straight rural two lane), or doing
anything distracting. I did not receive a ticket and do not feel that the
    accident was my fault.

I just received the "renewal" notice on my insurance from XXX Indemnity
which says they can not renew my policy as I had an at fault accident where
I hit a fixed object, but they will gladly sell me a policy from one of
XXX's other companies at an inflated rate. Since I didn't get a ticket I
have nothing to fight in court to try and defend myself from this. I take a
    $700 (2 commercial trucks jump from 2000 to 2700) a year hit, and I can't
really shop around if everybody is going to see "At Fault Accident" when
they pull my driving record. I have not had any other tickets in 6+ years
    either.

What can I do about it. Is my only choice to wait it out for 39 months
until it becomes ancient history and pay 3 to 4 years of inflated premiums?

At fault accident insurance premiums will be on the rise for drivers who are at fault. Premiums will rise up to 40% or more for a period of no more than three years after being involved in an accident. The easiest way to save on car insurance would be to obtain multiple quotes from high risk automobile insurance companies that can provide the specific coverage you're looking for. http://www.carinsurancequote.net/no-fault-accident-insurance.html
